The NSC, (National SpeedSkating Circuit) has just announced its sophomore season schedule for 2011 and this year promises to be even more exciting than the last! The NSC was founded by Miguel Jose, a 4 time inline speed skating National Champion, with the intention of commercializing inline speed skating, thus turning it into a professional mainstream American sport. With help from 28 time World Champion speed skater Joey Mantia, Miguel was able to establish an organization strictly for professional inline skaters.

An NSC Race Format Primer: 12 athletes compete in sprint races and 16 athletes compete in endurance races. 2 heats will be run for each race; in the sprints the top 3 in each heat will advance to the final; in the endurance race the top 4 will qualify to the final. Each athlete will compete either in the sprint category or the endurance category, with the exception of the champion's race where the top 3 sprinters from the night will meet the top 3 endurance athletes for a grand final. In the event of a tie, the highest placement in the race closest to the distance of the champion's race will be the tie breaker.
