今年からオランダで始まった Holland Inline Cup にはWICと共催の２レースが含まれています。５月７日の Steenwijk 初戦に続き、いよいよオランダ初のWIC が５月１８日に Wolvega で開催されます。残念なコトに、WICのホームページは詳しいインフォメーションがアップされていません、しかも開催日が５月１７日と成っていて・・・まったくの機能不全です。とりあえず、HICとPatinCarrera.comを参考に更新しています。間違っていたら、ごめんなさいデス。
The Holland Inline Cup (HIC) exists only of four races. We had no possibilities to extend the program, due to lack of time. However, in the future we would like to extend the program of the Holland Inline Cup competition.
The four races in the HIC start with a mass start. This is common in races abroad and in the World Cup. The top skaters start first row. In the longer term we like to start based on personal bests. This is already the case in Germany. All participants are obliged to skate with transponders and all times will be officially ranked.
Two races of the HIC will be World Inline Cup races. It means a tremendous upgrading of the Dutch skating sport, due to all of the famous skaters who will skate this races. And there will be a lot of media interest. We hope and expect every skater in Holland will start in the two World Inline Cup races and that counts as the best promotion for the sport.

The race will be adjusted to the new plan of Dutch inline skating. It is going to be a great event. The season of the HIC will end spectacularly in Hallum, with a tremendous party and the presentation of the prices and winners.

Wolvega Holland WICby Bill Begg (May 10, 2008) Next week the WIC heads into Holland for the big event in Wolvega.
How big a part the Dutch & Belguim girls play in the ladies event will be watched with interest.
Cado Motus have the one big Ace of Hearts in Hilde Goovearts, if it rains, Hilde has wet weather form 2nd to no one, if its a dry weather run, then perhaps the Local sprinters are a yard short on pace.
But with strong fields contesting the Dutch Marathon races & the Influx of Colombians, without seeing the course, I think there will be many attacks & Counter attacks.
Should be very interesting.

HIC STEENWIJK of May 7th 2008by BRIAND Pascal
 Tonight is the race in Steenwijk, the 1st holland inline cup of the season. 50km race in a 2km lap...with a little uphill...probably a lap that Arjan Smit know very good as he lived close to here. Steenwijk is near Wolvega, so that's nice to race close to TEW center.
