Setting the record straight:
Nistevo’s association with Matter Wheel’s development, marketing, sales and North American Distribution began at conception. The relationship from the start was, Nistevo controlled sales and distribution in North and South America exclusively while another party controlled the remainder of the world.

In order for Nistevo to justify the expense of marketing a team worldwide with skaters such as Joey Mantia and Massimiliano Presti, it only made sense to have a wheel brand that we can manage worldwide. Being that Matter distribution was split we were limited on product development and had no control over the sales network and worldwide branding. Answer Wheels has our complete attention, passion and dedication. Just as we do with Luigino Products, we are committed to providing skaters around the world with the best wheels ever.

Answer Indoor is launching January 1, 2008. The urethane which dominated indoor racing over the past couple years is now exclusive to Answer Wheels. Neal Piper, Doug Glass and Luigino Athletes worked together for 2 years to obtain a proprietary indoor formula and therefore it will remain exclusive to Nistevo and Answer Wheels for 5 years. Also, the hollow core technology will remain exclusive for Answer Indoor Wheels. Matter will have their own indoor wheels with new cores, names, chemistry and colors.

Smart Technology is without limits: Inspired by the best skaters in the world, we have engineered Answer Reflex Cores to be responsive to all speed skating types and styles. If you’re a serious speed skater you deserve total performance.

Smart Technology is our answer to producing specific types of wheels with one style core made with different materials and size variations. Answer’s two piece technologies (Core & Urethane) provide extra energy to the overall wheel velocity and still maintain adequate stiffness. Smart Technology widens our material option making it possible to use simple plastics and complex hybrid materials such as urethane, as well as urethane and glass blends. This never talked about information is instrumental to the success of competitive inline racing wheels and is currently not being exercised by any other brand. Having the ability to adjust the reflex in the core depending on the urethane hardness and discipline for which it is being used is imperative.

Answer’s Patented IQ technology displaces the footprint similar to that of a car with positraction Each wheel adjusts to the surface as you apply pressure, it knows where and when you need grip.

Answer has been working on the development of IQ wheels for over 5 years through the use of other applications such as roller hockey. No one in the skate industry ever offered a wheel with an adjustable profile and/or shape. The single most important point of any wheel is the point at which it makes contact with the skating surface.

Answer Wheels Make Debut In West Palm

The Palm Beach Challenge was the first major invitational of the calendar year, but this year it was much more than that. The meet will go down in history as the debut of Answer Wheels. The new orange and white WHIP indoor wheels had superior grip and roll. The Luigino/Answer team all stepped down from 110mm wheels (110mm WHIP wheels will be available in time for the Blue Ridge Challenge) and were very impressed with the speeds they were able to achieve, despite being limited to only 100mm. Team Luigino/Answer's Michael Cheek and Joey Mantia finished 1st and 2nd overall, both wearing orange and white WHIP wheels. The newest Luigino/Answer team member, Harry Vogel, made his return after a 5 yr absence, finishing a very respectable 4th place. In the outdoor event, Joey Mantia continued the dominance he’s showed in the last few years. He wore the new Answer edition Challenge and the new black Pilot frame. Mantia and Cheek also went one and two outdoor. Vogel looked very strong despite a back injury that caused him to miss several of the races. In the first Miami International Marathon Mantia walked away from the competition winning by nearly 2 minutes over Colombian Julian Rivera. 3rd place was captured by Vogel who gutted out the full 42K to win the field sprint, despite his back being in obvious pain. The Luigino/Answer team will next be in Roanoke Va. for the Blue Ridge Challenge.
