ロンドン在住で日本に留学経験のある Kian Khuan Tay さんがネット公開している Portfolio の中の１つにフレーム角度が自由に動かせる不思議なスケート "720 Skates" というがあります。実際に滑れるのか？また最近出てきたフリーラインのように横方向に滑るのか？考えたら頭が痛くなりそうな代物です。先週、知ったのですが・・・よーく考えて掲載する事にしました。

Inline skating has its merits as a true competitive sport but what’s the next step? What’s the next level? Designer Tay Kian Khuan believes it’s his 720 Skates. Designed for pro competitions, they may look like any other inline skates but the wheels are set on independently rotating gears instead of an inline track. With this added feature, the skater gains the ability to spin 360º in place and skate sideways. Now you can imagine the kind of tricks one could pull off in these.

Product Designer: I am a product designer with real passionate. I was actively involve design projects and competition through out my studies in Industrial/Product Design, I had done freelances for different field such as interior/industrial design, Architectural modeling and etc. I completed my diploma and also my degree with a first class honor and i won an Academy Prize for my degree, my passion in product design made me invest so much time that my degree final year project really amaze my supervisor.
Awards: Selected to join International Students Workshop in Osaka, Japan in Sozhosha College, 2004 1st prize in Intel notebook bag design competition 2nd Runner up in Bombay Sapphire Martini Glass Design Competition
