According to the BoazArad.com,"Five skaters, myself included took advantage of the closed roads during “Yom-Kippur” and skated from Rosh-Hanikra to Tel-Aviv. I continued to Rehovot, setting a new Israeli continuous skate recored at 100 Miles (160 Km)."
Four Israeli have done 83 miles skate in a day like the A2A. They already updated the video on the YouTube. They said that 83 miles distance skate in a day is a new record in Islael, Congratulations! However, I am not sure whether this record is a new record officially. There are no map about Islael on the "Google maps", so I couldn't get the route of this 83 miles skate.
Skating from Rosh-Hanikra to Tel-Aviv, and then Rehovot - 100 Miles in total, the longest distance ever continually skated in Israel, even longer than the A2A ultra marathon!Boaz Arad wrote:
Planned breaks were very short, I'd say 10 minutes each. Two skaters went down during the course:
My injury took about 5 minutes to bandage. Eyals was more severe, and took nearly 20. So that brings us to about 45 minutes down time. We arrived in Tel-Aviv (~84 miles) after about 7 hours (6:15 minus breaks). I got to Rehovot (100 Miles) after 8:25 (7:40 minus breaks).
The temperature was almost perfect, a bit warm during the day, but not too cold during the night.
