Renault unveils Kangoo Concept

Renault unveiled its Kangoo Concept today at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Developed in conjunction with "Rollerblade" the concept car is built around a roller-skating theme and targets young buyers. The concept is painted in Fireball Orange and Brushed Aluminium and features a full-length panoramic sunroof.
The interior of the Kangoo Concept was designed around the idea of the "pursuit of leisure" and features a second row that swivels to turn the tailgate area into a sitting room. The interior is upholstered in Skate Blue leather and "techno" Aluminium Grey 3D mesh fabric.

French go their own way at Frankfurt

Conceived for the much sought after active-lifestyle crowd, Renault says the Kangoo Compact blends "mobility, togetherness and lust for life.”

If you’re a band of roving French gypsies, Renault may have a car for you.

The electric orange and brushed aluminum concept is based on the production Kangoo, a uniquely French idea of using bread vans as personal transportation. (Imagine a French, two-door Honda Element…)
In fairness, the Kangoo may have some context if you live in a country where wine and cheese are considered part of the national food guide.

Actually, forget the Element analogy.

Honda would never reverse the rear seats and make the rear trunk lid compatible to store rollerblades for you and a friend.

Apparently the Renault design team is unaware that rollerblading went out of fashion with pink leather ties and parachute pants.
