Jennifer is doing much better. She had her cast removed and now has a soft cast. Now we just wait for her to heal. Thank you to everybody for their thoughts and prayers. Here are some facts regarding the frames.- Our frame was designed by Dave Simmons and Schankel. The frame is actually built in Taiwan, it says it right on the frame.
- It is a one piece billet construction.7075 aluminium,
- Frame length 345mm (13.6") with even space 115mm between axles
- Although the frames appear to be of the same construction, they are not. We are not sure where the Pilot frame is made, I can assure you that there is a patent on the tube design of our frame.
- Our frame is stiffer, lighter and slightly shorter than the pilot.
One more thing. Schankel had the Amadeus 4x100 out on the market way before the pilot was even introduced.Look at the frame, the SR411 is based off of that design. The main difference from the Schankel Amadeus is this: Dave has been working on the development of this frame for about 5 years or so. It is no secret that Simmons Racing and Schankel have been in a relationship for sometime now. We looked at the Schankel 4x100 and found that the length of this frame with a little engineering could accomodate a 4x110 set up. The ribs are slightly different and the mounting configuration has been altered by a couple of mm in the front as well as the deck height has changed a little. The main focus on the front mounting area change was due to some wheels would rub the mounting bolts we like to use, therefore forcing us to use and alter a mounting bolt. The change that Dave made was a fix to this issue. I hope I answered your question. If there are anymore, please ask.
Thanks Ryan Chrisler and Adam Miller have one. Try one of them. I'm sure they would let you take a look at them. We have them available at $295.
